It took a few plumber's visits in the past to convince my husband that the wood stove was not enough in extreme temperatures. In the 30's tomorrow-I will need to get out my tank tops! I swear 20 with out wind has felt balmy in the last few days.

Flower thats nothing sometimes my spelling so bad even spell check can't figure it out.:ep

i'm usually pretty good at spelling, also used to trying to decipher and help out Mom who pretty much makes up her own language every time she writes anything down. at least i know where i get my dyslexia from, when i get really tired i can transpose complete words, type them backwards, etc. i do not use spell check or any other grammar fixer-upper. if i'm really tired and writing by hand i will write a sentence down, leaving spaces for words as i go and then go back and have to fill in the spaces.

i'm glad i can type pretty fast now. in jr. high i flunked typing... lol...

Also dyslexia I was born cross eyed had many eye surgerys as a kid. Sometime when I get tired I get double vision. That can be a hoot, I take it as a sign stop what your doing and go to bed

A problem I have with spelling is related to hearing. Audiologists tell us that these sounds in the English language are difficult to hear with
  • mild hearing loss: l, ng, m, v, f, th, s
  • moderate hearing loss: j, z, g, i, u, b, d, a, o, r, p, ch, sh, h, k
Looks like about all of them, right? Remembering how to spell words is not reinforced by hearing them.

Not a problem, don't sweat it, I make typos all the time, fingers hit the wrong keys, even use the wrong spelling of a word if I'm not thinking when I'm typing. I once asked someone to "bare" with me, the response I got was...I don't think so, I don't know you well enough.
Double vision is the pits isn't it. I also get it at times especially when I'm tired,

My problem with spell check is with horticultural terms and botanical names, sometimes it bleeps every second word I type. I think there's a way to get your spell check to recognize these words but I've never bothered to do this, I just swear at the computer a lot.

Sometimes I type something and decide to change it, or move it around in the message, you know, copy and paste and forget to delete it. If I don't proof read what I've typed there's times even I can't make sense of it .

As long as I can get across what I'm trying to say, that's as good as you're going to get from me.

@aftermidnight i haven't noticed you being particularly hard to understand.

but i am still giggling about "plumpers" @Nyboy if that is the worst of it then you're lucky. :)

i hope you have all warmed up there? today is nice (mid 30s and sunny). went out and cleaned the snow off the car and started it to let it run for a while. i hadn't started it since i replaced the battery and through all that very cold weather. started right up. it's always been a good car.

It's in the 40's here dipping into the 30's at night but the bit of snow we had is gone, not saying it's not going to come back. January can at times be a very wet month here, torrential downpours.

Isn't that how it goes? Well just glad it's over and fixed. Hoping no more problems for a long time. Always a nice surprise when it's less than what you were thinking.
