We are currently under a burn ban! It had not rained for over a month. Crops are DRY are all the weeds and dropping leaves. Last week there where multiple field fires. MANY burned acres. Thankfully most of what burned was stubble in harvested fields. Still it took 12 local fire depts. to get them all under control. We did just get and inch over a 2 day period. So maybe they will lift the ban soon. We sure could use more.

Hope ya'll get rain to bust your droughts. We were in drought all over the state with counties lit up in red under burn bans. The Bastrop area had a huge fire going with over 4500 acres burned, 64 homes and countless outbuildings. This rain sure came as a blessing to put out that fire!

It's raining AGAIN! To the west of us by a county or two, there is REAL heavy rains and flash flooding. They haven't even dried out from last weekend! And they are getting pounded again. It started raining here about 11:00 this morning. Has been a nice slow rain. We probably won't get the amount of rain we got last weekend, but anything is welcomed.

Bay is there any way to dug a farm pond in your soil ?

Yes with a $$$$$Bulldozer$$$$$. And our place has a natural gas pipeline that goes through the middle, which could make placement of a pond tricky.

We only got 2 1/4" of rain. Glad we didn't get flooded around here like in other parts of the state.
