I do not repair a hose any longer, I just replace it and be done with it!!!
A good repair kit will cost half as much as a cheap hose, and one will last about as long as the other...
I do try to find the no kink kind on sale, last month I picked up 2 at true valve on sale for 16.00each they are 5/8 and 75ft long.
I get about 2 years out of them if we put them away in the winter. The cheap ones at Wally world are now 8 dollars and do Not last one year.
Plus they kink just looking at them.
So my words of wisdom, is like keeping an extra pack of batteries for a flash light, keep an extra hose put away and save the stress on your heart..no need to have someone find you in the garden with a heart attact and a tight grip on an old hose with a leaky repair.
