one year we bought this tree that was so decrepit and crooked that even the stand would not hold it up. we ended up having to use dental floss tied to the curtain rods to hold it up. in our defense, it was the last tree they had on the lot and they practically gave it to us so they didn't have to deal with putting it back on the truck.

it wasn't the last tree we had, but pretty close.

One year we had to tie the holiday tree to the wooden beam of the vaulted ceiling to hold the tree up it was so big it took up the whole room.
It was the first year going to a tree farm and picking out a tree for the season out in the fields. In defense of the choice the tree looked a lot smaller out in the tree field. That’s when we all decorated the tree and made all sorts of new ornaments from the garden.

Happy Holiday;s to everyone…Cheers. My horses and a couple dogs all decked out for x-mas cards. IMG_6452.jpeg

@digitS’ if that’s your pup what a super cutie. Sure hope Santa brings good puppy 🎁

By the way I made the background and dressed the horses and dogs for the Christmas pic above with 2 horses and 3 dogs. Tied the horses to the hitchen posts , placed two dogs (Shelties) with deer antlers on in the baskets on the wagon covered to look like a sleigh . And the large collie with x-mas santa hat.
All set up by the barn. Lots of treats worked like a charm.

That must have taken many tries to get them all posed so perfectly! They are all beautiful.

No it didn’t take much time to snap pics the dogs are very good and the horses were tied to the hitchen post.the 2 posts in front of the horses hard to see in pic covered in decorations. The two Shelties are in baskets up on a wagon covered to look like a sleigh. Lots of carrots and doggie treats kept their attention.
From left to right on the ground is The big collie - Cassie, up in the baskets are Shelties -Sassy and Spencer.
Horses Pherotti and her son Machotti (Chotty) Nick name. Arabians.
