Another litter of bunnies on the way... they're here!

I can't tell if this doe is pregnant, (you're supposed to be able to palpate, but I'm inexperienced and she would rather not be turned upside down!) However, it's day 27 so I gave her the nest box.

Fifteen minutes later, much nest redecoration is going on...

That's a good sign. Definitely a nest. When the hair starts getting pulled you know you're in business. BTW if anyone near San Diego wants to get serious about rabbits see my post.

They're here! She had a litter of six again, but this time there are four black ones (looks like one will have a white nose):

It's amazing how fast they grow in that early stage. In a couple of weeks they will be starting to explore the world outside the nest box.
