Oh yea! Hops! Make beer, grow big fat belly, give Gladys Kravitz something to really spy at with her binoculars! In fact, get her some powerful astronomical binoculars and a tripod so she can watch your beer belly grow!!!

Poor Gladys! She really wants company. I know she does. Someone bring her a homemade beer!

Thanks guys I wonder if I can plant it in a container in ground like mint. Would that stop it from sending up suckers? Also the patio is made of blocks would the roots push up the blocks, spend .alot of money having it put in

First, I do love the trumpet vine in the back yard. I have no plans to change it.

I once had a trumpet vine in the front yard. Planted in the perfect spot where it would climb a nearly dead oak. The oak fell over and it took me 4 years to remove all the trumpet vine that remained.

If your container is made of thick steel, perhaps it would be contained for a long time, but the mess I dug up had broken through its pot with nary a problem and continued hale and hearty as it spread. Since this was an area I didn't mow, it had to go.

Love, Smart Red

Cast iron lead-lined pots with kryptonite mulch.....
Those things sound worse than kudzu.
