Milorganite is an old standby in this area, but it doesn't work that good.
A lot of people will also have blood meal added to their new bark. That's effective for a month or so.
You still have to switch things up often enough to keep them off balance.
I always try to find out what the golf courses are using since a lot of my clients properties are adjacent to or nearby one, then I use something different.

I think electric wire is a winner. I can't do that on my customers property, but I know a few would be delighted to watch the show. :D

Electric fence may work in your area, burt in our neck of the woods ... the deer just jump over it and enjoy a taste treat from the other side of the fence !
