There are a number with "intermediate" resistance, @AMKuska .

Cornell University researcher mentions some of these. Seems that Harris Seed Co has made this something of a specialty.

Harris has mostly large packets but not entirely LINK.
Wow! Thank you for sharing this. I didn't see a giant version in the PM section, but quite a few fun looking varieties did catch my eye. :) Perhaps I can try one of these.

I just finished getting the onion sets in the ground. I had to hand dig a 2x10 area and shoveled some finished compost in. I spread some straw over but will have to finish Friday because the wind is too strong. I got 60 onion sets in the ground though. This will be my second attempt at growing onions from sets. The first didn’t really put on much growth probably due to a lack of water. This time I’ve put them in the lower garden loosened the soil added compost so hopefully they’ll do better. I also cut up my seed potatoes and I’ll plant them on Friday or Saturday.
I’m tired and a bit sore but it’s the good kind. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed gardening.

I should also start lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and a whole lot of other stuff soon but it’s taking some work to get motivated this year.

To my surprise the potatoes seem to have already healed over for the most part. So now I’m contemplating whether or not I can get at least some of them in the ground before the storm hits. The problem would be gathering enough leaf mold from the woods... I’ve got about 5 hours though so maybe. I used up all the finished compost on the onions yesterday. I should have another batch of compost ready to go in the garden around April/May. I moved it into the finishing box yesterday. When I first started the compost piles I wondered if it would be worth it but now I’m grateful I did. I think what I got yesterday is the first batch of fully finished compost Ive ever gotten. In the past I had too little patience!

It’s far too muddy to work in the garden this week but I did check on the onions and they are starting to sprout. Nothing from the potatoes but it’s barely been a week. I’m praying they don’t rot after all this rain.
It’s officially allergy season again here. Ive felt like crap on and off all day this and was unfortunately out of allergy meds. Luckily I picked some up last night because when I checked I found out tree pollen has been high all week. I’m severely allergic to several kinds including pecan pollen. Right now I’m taking generic Claritin, nasacort nose spray, medicated eye drops and the max dose of Advil and I still feel like crap.

All the seedlings are up except for one of the bell peppers. I put them outside for the first time today since it’s warm. I’m hoping to get the lettuce and similar things in pots this afternoon.

I got beets, carrots, radishes and snow peas planted today. The sugar snaps will have to wait for the weekend when I can put up a trellis for them and the lettuce is waiting for me to locate the any poison since that pot is infested.
