So sorry-good it happened right in front of you instead of in bed.
I didn't notice DH until after we got up. I thought THEY had meds for stroke victims that prevented a lot of the damage. Didn't give it to DH. Of course, it has to be within a couple of hours for it to work and we didn't know when he had his stroke.

His was mini stroke, too, and DH has recovered almost all that was damaged in the stroke he had the end of October.

Hopefully your DH will be up and back to his more normal self in a short time.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes and hugs. We are back home now. There doesn't seem to be any damage, but he is so very anxious, and the hospital strangeness made it difficult for him. Any change is hard for him. The hospital didn't make me leave, but I had taken Penny to day care earlier in the morning and I had to pick her up before they closed. And it didn't seem to make sense to get her, take her home, then turn around and go back to the hospital for a couple of hours to sit. Then come back home. I was hoping he would fare better than he did without me. The hospital encourages family/spouses to stay with the patient. And of course I would have if it had been critical. There was a very kind and spiritual male nurse who spent a lot of time.....hours....with him. He seemed very moved by that, and can't fully talk about it yet. Maybe he had an epiphany about trying to learn to enjoy what he has, while he has it. I hope.

I wish I could get DH to use the treadmill. I have to take him shopping through each nook and cranny of the grocery or home improvement store to get him moving -- at least until spring arrives.

Red, is there a shopping mall near you? Lots of people walk at our mall, before the stores open.
