6 inches!! You will be lucky the whole garden hasn't turned into a pond!
The latest from the National Weather Service is 6.93 inches. The garden is on a very slight slope so it should have all drained away but it's going to be very muddy for a couple of days.

Aint weather fun?!? That's the storm that was up in Oregon last week -- my mom, on the Coast in Newport OR said the BEACH (pacific ocean) got 6" of SNOW!!! That'd be cool to see.. We got lots of rain here in the LA area and high winds! Hope all is well!

Its raining very heavy right now, but no really bad weather. The sky looked pretty ominous before it started and we're under a tornado watch until 5pm. My garden is not on a slope so I'm afraid of what it will look like by tomorrow afternoon. :(

Here are a couple of pictures of the garden and the creek after the rain.

This is where we planted the corn over the weekend. We lost about 6 feet of the rows, I was expecting much worse.

This is the bed where the lettuce is planted, it took a beating but I think it will make it. The paths have standing water but all the raised beds are fine.

This is the road just past our house, there is a bridge under all that water. Our creek has turned into a raging river today.

It could have been so much worse.

East Central IL, Was Zone 6, Now...maybe Zone 5
This system is INSANE. The jetstream has so much control--WE should've been rained on by it 2 days ago, but it won't reach US in IL until about noon tomorrow, and now it's lost a lot of it's power. Glad you're okay!! :hugs

Everything here is drying out but I still can't walk out into the garden because my paths are so muddy. Of course the dogs didn't care about the mud, they thought it would be fun to dig some holes out there. Anyone want a couple of bad dogs?

LOL! No thanks! We have three of our own and my sister is on her way right now with her Cocker Spaniel so I can dog sit for a few days while she's out of town! Four dogs in my little house - this ought to be fun.
