A friend gave me this recipe in 1989. I haven’t made it in a long time. It makes a fabulous pie!

Many years ago, maybe 35 or 40? My Daddy cut down a big mimosa tree stump in a neighbor’s yard. He took the stump to a man who milled it into lumber and made 3 recipe boxes. It’s been packed away a long time. I’ve been going through it, finding old recipes I used to make. I hope you enjoy them.

The impossible buttermilk pie is SO easy! All in one bowl, pour in greased pie plate and bake.

The Everlasting muffins are a good recipe. Make basic recipe, add blueberries or strawberries or orange zest when you pour batter in the muffin tins.

I love the box, what a keepsake.

The buttermilk pie looks interesting.

Pro tip - never hang freshly washed underwear outside on the line to dry if it's gonna freeze that night! I learned this the hard way. When I went to gather them up the next morning they were stiff as a board and could probably crack in half! 😂 It totally ruins the elastic!!!

i'm pretty sure that is not where the expression "Crack of Dawn." came from...

hard to believe that Cool Whip has been around that long.

it goes through me faster than greased grease...
I can't eat Cool Whip, there's a small amount of dairy in it. There's a similar whipped topping that tastes good, and has absolutely NO dairy, so I can eat it. It's called TruWhip.

There used to be a really yummy one way back when called La Creme. It was way more rich tasting than cool whip. Now my favorite whipped cream is a coconut cream in a spray can sold at Trader Joe's. Oh boy!
