Bay, I just love sugar snap peas but can't seem to grow them. Here you plant in the fall but of course they don't grow much over the winter. Just when they start growing I have to pull the scraggly plants out so that I can plant my tomatos. I think I just need a bigger yard, haha.

Your winter weather ought to be ideal growing conditions. Are you sure it's not soil drainage or something like that as the issue?

My problem is lack of space. The only place and trellis I have for them happens to be where I plant my tomatos end of March. I've thought of planting tomatoes a month or so later but am just too anxious for them. Lol

Bright spot in the garden. Eggplant, Brussels sprouts, both purple and green, cabbage and kale.

Not so bright spot, weeds are winning.

Neighbor brought his riding mower and bagger over, we're gonna mow 'em down this morning. I considered letting the sheep in, Lord knows they wait at the fence when I pull weeds and take 'em to the sheep. But, there are areas I don't want them in and it would be too hard to fence it off. Yes, there is triple thick pumpkin boxes under that pretty no-weed area.

In the weed picture is the failed planting of Painted Mountain corn. sigh....
