It’s Texas. No matter what you use, it’s going to be hot....

Yes, they are still in the trailer. I hate them being in there, I take care of my trailer and getting spilled water, poop and yuck ground in the floor sets me on edge. I also take care of my animals and can't stand them being confined. I scrape the trailer floor every day, wash it down every 3rd or 4th day, more often if needed. But at least when I get this pen and shelter finished, I'll always have it and can just back up the trailer and unload pigs. When we get these pigs out of the trailer, it's going to the car wash!

@seedcorn is right, it's just plain hot in Texas. I have a stack of used tin, so that is what I am using. They will have shade from trees. I don't plan on keeping them through the summer, have a slaughter date of June 4.

We had so many rainy days, couldn't get out to work, also have other things going on at the same time. I just need more hours in the day....Daylight Savings Time to the rescue!!!!

Our neighbor Robert cane over to help me with the deck. I couldn’t pick up those sheets of OSB and get them on the roof by myself. I had 3 full sheets and a lot of scraps. So we continued on with my Scrap And Crap building project. We off set the whole pieces and used 2-3 strips at the end of each whole piece. I scrambled around on the roof, Robert stayed on the ground.

Then we got the tar paper on it and I tacked it down. I had some bent metal drip edge that came in one of the reject lumber piles we bought, so I went and got it. We put it across the front.

We quit at 3:00. Tired.

Just finished putting tin on the roof. Still got to pitch the holes with roof sealant, but right now this glass of iced tea is much more important.

I had 8’ tin for a 12’ roof. I cut 2’6” pieces and laid at the bottom then over lapped them with the 8’ piece.

I carried the tin and my tools on the mule.

Yesterday and today we worked on the Hawg Hut and pen. I put together more boards and got ready to put tin up. DH and Robert built H braces and stretched a span of wire.

I squared up the corners with slightly used 2x6’s.
