I didn't see any scissortail fly catchers, they are the Oklahoma state bird.

Lovely bird. (Flycatcher, not the rail rider :rolleyes:.)

You caught the red beneath the wings, @Kassaundra ! Cornell says they will be south of the border soon.

Killdeers here and they have their tiny babies out with them in the summer. Killdeers are much too happy with hanging out on roadways.

Beautiful bits of birding, ya'll! I especially love the attitude on the face of that second pelican shot.

Killdeer and turkey vultures are everyday birds around here, but I've never gotten that close for a photo. Good work!

Getting those turkey vulture shots was not easy for sure, very slow and stealthy and even then a long lens and much cropping was needed.
