Black Brandywine Tomato

So partly to share that cutting my tomatoes while green and letting them finish their ripening process in a paper bag was successful and partly to show that I'm eating fresh tomatoes from my Minnesota garden in November I provide you this here picture :)

The pink ones are Desters, the others are the Brandywines. I used the method a few times over late summer, but right before the cold hit I cut down all my tomatoes and did a hail mary bagging of a bunch of unripe ones. This was about half of the haul. The bugs ABSOLUTELY loved the Brandywines while on the vine. I barely got any from my plant before they were fully attacked.

I have 3 little ones left, of those that I picked green that finally ripened. They still taste really good in spite of picking early. I think my family finally burned out on tomatoes (like they eventually do on everything else), so I will probably have them all to myself. :D
