black lab farm happenings elsewhere update...heavy pictures.

major that was very well explained. I've read about it several times & just didn't get what they were saying. it makes sense now. I love berries so much. I need to find out what varieties do well here in hot dry Texas. I realize I will need to water, but there must be some better adapted to this climate than others.

Excellent presentation Major! Unfortunately for me, the jury is in. The wild berries on the hillside are still infected with Orange Rust. They looked good early on, but I checked them yesterday evening and saw the truth. Many of the floricanes are turning spindly and the fruit is suffering badly. I expect to see the tell-tale orange patches before long :(

My only option now is to try to kill off the entire patch, burn the canes and seed the hillside with something else. I'll have to research how long OR spores live in the soil.

You are the teacher! I would be the grass hopper but I don't like spectracide.!!
well I had trouble remembering prima and flora caine then I realized the Flora caines have flowers!
Well it is all good. do you use the 17 - 17 - 17 for the second fertilization??

looking forward to picking your brain more!!
