Borage

Saw the package, grew it inside, transplanted it and watched all the pretty blue flowers. Now, what'do I do with it?
....and, will it survive/replant itself next Spring?

I love borage too. Start saving seeds, or make sure the plants are located somewhere that the seeds can drop and re-seed on their own. Borage will not winter over for you (or me, in zone 7).

I read on the package that it tastes like cucumbers. Do you use it any recipes?

No, I never seem to have enough. I love seeing the flowers used in salads and on top of desserts, though. I plan to do this some time.

My ducks ate most of my borage plants down this year. Ask them.

Taste one of the flowers- they are delicious! I think they have a tropical flavor. They look and taste wonderful on cake and work very well in salads. Try one!!

No can do--ducks are pretty "mum" about what they eat.

Ha ha . . . well, I tell ya, they must have enjoyed the borage, because they came back regularly for the new shoots. :/
