@so lucky probably should but don't keep track who is organic vs. Non-GMO, vs all chemicals are good crowds.

I know from experience how impossible it is to stop grass from taking over a garden when starting from scratch. I'd rather have clean garden with use of chemicals I consider safer than detergent. Even killing the grasses, all gardens will still have weeds-which are a plant in wrong place.

Some consider dandelions a good thing. To me, noxious weed.
Look out, seedcorn, you may have Bay on your case if you disrespect dandelions! :D

I'm safe as she's too busy with new house and sick. By the time she gets healthy, this thread will be buried..... Plus I'm thousands of miles away! ;)

Haha, @so lucky and @seedcorn  I already scattered a quart zip loc baggie of dandelion seeds on the new place! :weee

So lucky, too bad you can't just fence it off good, plant it thickly in turnips and radishes and turn a couple of feeder pigs out in it. They would dig up the root vegetables and all the weeds too. After a summer of being plowed by pigs, that garden space would be ready for a good thick mulch for the winter and ready to plant the next spring. And you would have meat in the freezer! Hmmmm....... I might need to take my own advice! ;)

Our new neighbors, a cute young couple, bought a pair of piglets to raise for meat.
I saw the pen they made and suggested they run some hotwire around the inside....don't think they did because the wife can be heard chasing them through the woods regularly. I hope they are in the freezer before I put in my front garden. :\
