I did not get sprouts on my Brussels Sprouts for the last few seasons, after many successful years. They need a bit of Boron if this happens to you. It is an organic amendment and is very potent so you must take care in amending you soil. I use a tiny sprinkle near each plant., working it into the soil. Having a busy fall I did not think to check my Sprouts until yesterday. I always plant a variety of seed that I start in my greenhouse. I find when 1 variety of any kind of plant has a bad year, usually at least one of your choices will produce. Well my sprouts said thanks for the Boron. I am harvesting, and eating, and then blanching and freezing the extra. I will have enough for family and the entire winter. They can be left on the stalk well through frost. They are way bigger than they look in the photo.

I'll try the recipe if you will share!
I found this recipe online a while back and I just love it!
Pro tip - I add extra honey to the dressing!

Ingredients:
1 shallot, minced ¼ cup cider vinegar ¼ cup sunflower seed oil 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard ½ teaspoon honey ½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
6 cups Brussels sprouts, trimmed, halved, and sliced 2 Gala apples, cored and thinly sliced
½ cup dried cranberries
⅓ cup sliced almonds
⅓ cup raw sunflower seed kernels
⅓ cup shelled, raw pumpkin seeds

Directions:
Whisk shallot, vinegar, oil, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl.
Place Brussels sprouts, apples, cranberries, almonds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds in a bowl; pour vinegar mixture over and toss to combine.

Enjoy!
