Almost an addiction … I also was given horehound candy once while trick-or-treating and finally found them as a teenager when shopping by myself could include a candy store.

I forgot about the candy dots on paper! There was a cute little downtown shop in CA that sold those. Oh, and I do remember the Jolly Rancher thin bars that were like 4 inches long by 2 inches wide and my favorite was cinnamon!Sorry @Dahlia ,DD's would wax nostalic about MOST of those candies. I too liked the red hots! Never tried the other two. I especially liked to use the red hots for gingerbread house decoration!Red Hots

all of them! i've always had a very dedicated sweet-tooth even if i've not eaten a lot of them for many years i still remember, plus i've made candies of various kinds.
i can also say that my recent samples (Halloween just went by and my brother had some leftover candy he gave to Mom today and she brought it home and i just happened to have gotten up for a snack so i sampled the bag and ate about half of them -- oops) of several candy bars that they are not as good as they used to be. yes, i'm pickier but i also have a good memory of tastes and textures and they're not the same. the only thing that really helped most of them is that i was having some peanuts with them to give them some actual flavor besides sweet.

Candy from the past is priceless. A nickel, dime, and penny candy. On Amazon a pack of 24 I cup o’ gold - $32.99.
That is $1.33 each. Yikes and I bet they are smaller too. Called Shrinkflation..Even loaves of bread are half a loaf and twice the price - Shrinkflation.
