Caramelised Onion Chutney~ Found a great recipe

Hi there!

It has been raining all morning so I made this recipe & it tastes delicious. I used sherry vinegar but it says you can use any kind. I had some hot while it was still warm with sliced ham I cooked yesterday & new potatoes that were leftover & I sauteed.

Now I either need a nap or the sun to come out so I can garden!!!

Yeah that does sound good!!!!!

You might be able to replace this for a recipe that calls for sauteed onions. Thanks for posting!!

Oh that sounds so good . I just made some simple rhubarb chutney last night and it turned out very well, will give this one a go tonight Thank you Hattie :happy_flower

Mmmm! I love rhubarb chutney!

I think I will go up to get some from my kind neighbours & make some (my chickens dug mine up a couple of winters ago). This fall they are going to give me some roots to plant in my new vegetable area.

Do you put fresh ginger in yours?

Hi Hattie the onion chutney is wonderful, I used balsamic vinegar, thank you for shareing the recipe, I had some left over pork tenderloin, oh my goodness it was perfect on it DH was in heaven. I used fresh ginger, cinnamon and cloves in the rhubarb chutney along with onion, brown sugar and cider vinegar just a real simple recipe. I found a recipe for Chipolte Rhubarb Chutney that I want to try.
