I still prefer the idea of something for her dogs. By that, I mean something they will love to eat. Something not available in stores. I just saw your post about your sister's MIL and wondered if she might make some cookies -- in cute cat, rabbit, chipmunk, porterhouse cut-outs. If they turn out really good, the MIL might work into a contract for the recipe.

Choccolates are so over rated especially during the holiday season. I once got a $100 box of chocolates from a parent. Tried a piece and then threw the rest away. Sure it was good but it was not good for me. Not when I'm trying to watch my weight and eat healthy. Yes, I know every once in a while it's ok but not around the holidays with all the parties going on.

Geez Mary, chocolate keeps for awhile. You could have kept it for after the holidays....and anyway we all know you prefer KitKats. :p

Hey, the MIL might be on the Martha Stewart Show! They're always looking for new material. My daughter just did a photo shoot for Martha in LA via a NY firm of course. Said it was a nightmare because they were so disorganized and nothing was ready for her.

My sister's mother inlaw is a amazing baker. She once gave me a tin of homemade cookies. When I tried one it was very bland, I thought she forgot something and threw them out. Next time I saw her she asked how my dogs liked the homemade treats.

Oh boy! That brings back memories. I did almost the same thing when a co-worker made some little cookies for my wife and me for Christmas. We thought. But we ate about 10 of them until we realized that something was wrong. :sick No, actually they weren't too bad but they were a little hard to chew.

Here is on of my favorites. It's name is "I Think I"m it Love."
I think I\'m in Love.jpg
It blooms with the extra 4th petal about 30% of the time. The rest of the time the 4th petal sticks out like a cute crooked nose. It is gigantic and bloomed from July until NOVEMBER continually reblooming. The plants are all pretty good sized. They were 3-6 fans in the summer and will be bigger in the fall. Or look at the website but it is not up to date-this one is not even on it. Another fan favorite is Mattapoisett Moon which I have shown before. I can write a nice description and print the photo and send it to you .I AM SO FLATTERED!!!!
