Watermelon on the side with a bowl of oatmeal and cranberries. Second breakfast :)

Will need to be out pushing the lawn mower in a few minutes

Here's something you can be envious of for residents of a little higher elevation in the Wild West ;). It was 103° at the nearest airport, yesterday afternoon. This morning, it was 62°. So, a 41° drop in temperature. I had windows open and fans on between 4 & 8am :).

Yesterday, the 103° was accompanied by 20+ mph wind gusts with 10% humidity. (Fortunately, the sprinklers were running on the gardens, before all the wind!) That low, low humidity and the 2000' elevation is why the temperature could drop like that. Let me just say that a person does need protection during that heat and it is really hard on plants but those neighbors better be closing their windows because I'm going out at 8:30 and mow that lawn!

93 right now and feels like 102. We put the extra AC in the kitchen window and left it on overnight for the last 2 days and it did help cool the bedrooms off. We kind of feel stupid we have suffered with hot bedrooms and the AC set in the garage LOL.

my favourite thing is when people post oatmeal and they're like, "kept it super simple today" and it's like vanilla bean matcha chai toffee oats with cocoa nibs, caramelised star fruit and bewitched pecan butter with barbecued bananas captured in the trees of narnia.

Just finished my Second Breakfast - Lemon Meringue Pie, Honeydew Melon, and Herb Tea :D.

That oatmeal combination sounds disgusting to me, but then again, I'm the one who melts American cheese in mine.

I like an anchovie pizza 1/year, so, no, @Pulsegleaner, cheese in your oatmeal sounds ok to me. :)

i don't like anchovies in anything other than Worsechesterchire Sauce, but i also know someone who cooks onions in oatmeal so i don't think cheese sounds too bad. i mean if i can have meatloaf that has some oatmeal in it, and have cheese on that, what's wrong with skipping the ground beast?

In have had anchovies on pizza exactly ONCE, did not care for it. Though I do like the taste in my Caesar salad dressing, and consider a good anchovy sauce ESSENTIAL to a good Mozzarella en Carozza.

Exactly, it's basically just a runny cheese sandwich. You just have to make sure you're using unsweetened oatmeal (if you did use sweetened, you'd probably wind up with something that tasted a little like cheesecake (if you used cream cheese) or just bizarre (if you stuck with American).

Makes me wonder how oatmeal would be with Raclette in it (another melting cheese). They pour Raclette over boiled potatoes, so oatmeal just might work.
