Good Morning.

Breakfast is oatmeal with honey, raisins, chopped apple. Reverse the order when heating in the microwave with apples and raisins started first. Splashed on the almond milk ... yeah, I know that some people might sprinkle with cinnamon. ;) Too early for spicing up the day for me.
WHAT? No cinnamon, apples and cinnamon is a must 😋
Freezing out but still not as cold as WS predicted. We will see where things go over this weekend storm that is getting so much media attention. Snow/Rain, Snow/Rain , I hope people treat driving in it properly. Wind! Some very cold temperatures to finish things off - don't allow it to be your car or life and limb.

Having to make a tough decision this morning but it's being forced on me by the weather and my own laziness.

I guess that I should have been out in the big veggie garden doing final clean-up before first frost. The weather wasn't all that bad during those days with the high temp about 50°f (10°C). There is usually wind and there was sprinkles back then. The weather has finally taken a rather dramatic turn.

"Officially," yesterday, I guess that we had 3" of snow. But, then it rained and it is all gone this morning. Much of the moisture must have blown away with the 50mph + overnight wind gusts. There was nearly 3/4" of precipitation from this storm. It wasn't the every-other-day sprinkles that characterized late October weather when we had about 1/2" of rain for the entire month.

Now, the temperatures will be dropping into the teens every morning so the garden soil will go from soggy to frozen. It's gonna be too much for the rear-tine tiller. The tractor guy seems to have stalled, as well. And now, I don't know if he can get in there to do the tilling. It actually looked for awhile that we might be showing up at the same time but he said that he had repairs to make and I kept waiting and waiting for frost to kill the plants - shoulda pulled them and got on with it.

The tiller has been in the back of the pickup and I may as well pull it out this morning and put it away. Shucks.

Having coffee with my breakfast today.
The strawberry beds are on hold again. I got as far as digging up the ones I promised to friends but need to get dad to crank up the tiller for the new bed.
Still working on putting stuff back together now that the flooring is down. I got one of the bookshelves moved back in last night. That helped a lot. Going to try to the other one done today and the laundry all put away in the dresser and wardrobe. It would go a lot faster but I’m also decluttering as I go which makes it take a lot longer.

Our warm spell is holding for now. We haven’t had another freeze since the first one. They are saying the temps might start dropping again in a week or so but it’s too early to tell.
