Banana doughgobs, cantaloupe & Galia melon, and a cup of oolong

Woke up at 5:30, went back to sleep u til 6:30. Going for second cup of coffee. There’s 2 baby cotton tail bunnies playing on the driveway. Sheep are up, wanting out, sorry sheepies, on dry lot. Dogs must be getting impatient, I’m usually outside before 6:30 to let them out on the field. I’ll get moving here in a bit. Another hot day.

They were just fine, @Dahlia :).

I don't know what the company thought about the use for that plate in the little fryer. It also has a plate for meat balls and one for crepes. (I don't care for crepes ;).) There's one that works well for pancake batter and the size allows a little more "crust" and not such a gooey interior.

waking up at 3am is not really what i aimed for but when you fall asleep at 8pm that's what can happen... :)

@digitS' crepes are for people who like eggy and gooey thin carbs without random lumps of banana mixed in them or other strange things. :) i'd eat them if someone else made them. i've had so many variations of eggy carbs i don't think it would bother me if they were half raw or not. Pannukakku, sure, lay it on me!

Waking from having enough sleep would be a welcome experience, @flowerbug . If it is 7 or 8 hours and you have control of any by-the-clock schedules, hey -- it's as natural as can be.

Our tap water is so rich with dissolved minerals that DW won't drink it at anytime. That is, unless it's boiled. She is very assiduous about washing out kettles and pots with vinegar. If we had a boil water order, we would, maybe, have to be visiting a mountain spring and bathing in the lake! I'm not sure we could adjust to that.

Assiduous -- silly spell chequer knows it only with an -ly.

I love crepes! But you must make them with lots of plain yogurt mixed in the batter and let it sit overnight before cooking for breakfast. I just use my typical pancake recipe and then add one cup of yogurt for one batch of pancakes. It is a recipe to die for! They are not rubbery at all, but oh so moist! Put your favorite topping on top!
