DD#1 gave me a very thoughtful gift this year. She obviously knows I'm a science geek.

That's a BIG cup, @Zeedman !

Fill it - and you can literally say, 2 cups. How about with your teabag? Sufficient flavor?

Feeling compelled to check the ingredients in the box, I see that it's actually licorice and mint ;). I was wondering if I might have found a commercial herbal tea blend with anise hyssop - a favorite :). Licorice and mint. Okay, sounds good.

Okay, when I wrote the above it was following my first breakfast. Outta bed at 2:30 couldn't make it to drowsy in the lazyboy. Went off in the internet searching for anise hyssop tea - unsuccessfully  , then fell asleep ;).

Second breakfast all Asian pear and baked apple. I think that I'm awake!

Those tea plants volunteered for years in my garden. I thought that they were wonderful. Agastache - lovely blooms and loved by the bees. Tractor guy finally buried the seeds too deep to sprout, evidently. I'll look at the health food store but suspect that it won't be there. Replant Steve. Replant!

Recipe I saw this morning was to squeeze some lemon juice and mix in with honey. Sure but I like the anise hyssop added to my lemon verbena. Sure, protect that perennial every winter in the greenhouse while leaving the anise hyssop on its own just wherever ... until it doesn't return!

Steve :)

So, yesterday I go to the little town SSE of us, with the small, but fairly complete grocery store that has the best meat.
Store had been open about 15 minutes, I am the ONLY shopper so far, (there to buy nice steaks for our New Year's Eve meal,) and the butcher starts up a conversation with me.
Locally there were LONG LINES for coffee and coffee filters in C-U!!
He said that his friend reported up to over 30 people in line to buy this!! At WM, Schnucks, Meijer, and probably they cleaned them out at the 3 Aldi's, too.
DD has been ordering a regular delivery of large bags (4pk, 36 ounce size) for over a year now.
WE'RE good, AND I stocked up on filters in November for the year for Both households.
I am considering buying a filterless insert for my coffeemaker and saving the filters for the iced tea maker.
I see that it's about $7 + S&H on ebay, probably a little less at a local box store.
