Cold here, An hour ago I was talking to DD and it was 22 and felt like 11, but I just checked and it is now 20 and feels like 8. Wind chill advisory. Tonight will be 8 and feel like -10, which they just changed that, it was -11 earlier, so might be colder than they had originally forecast. I got the rabbit hutch ready yesterday. It is snowing and wind blowing and have a big fire going. I have my potting soil inside to get warm and deciding what I want to start.

Today at 7:02 AMNew
closed yesterday. making another haul today. A couple from BYH from California is here helping me on this one. Tjjhey bought property in est texas a year or so ago, but are still living in California. I'm pushing real hard to be out of here so this wonderful family can have their new home. Still have to build fence and shelterr for sheep/dogs before I can take them. This has been a LOT for an old lady to bitw off. The good news is that when I find a new farm, I get to do it again. I must be insane. I'm worn out, limping on both knees, but there is no quit in me. Been sleeping in a recliner the past several days so my friends could have the air mattress. Tonight we sleep in REAL beds in Groveton.

The new owners are claiming me as Grandma Dana, they love me to pieces and I love them. I now have 4 new grandkids! LOL I'm honored that they claim me as family. What a Blessing. I still have outside stuff to move, the Kawasaki mule and tractor will be the last things to be moved. I've gotten pretty good at backing trailers, it still takes me awhile, but I'm getting better.

Better go, help is coming at 8 to help load the refrigerator, my chest of drawers, recliner, end table, I think that's all the big stuff that's left. Still have some things to load on my flatbed trailer and truck before we pull out. The new owners are loaning their cargo trailer, we have it stuffed! Then off to the 3 hour trip to Geroveton, unload, that will prbably take a couple of days. Boxes EVERYWHERE! to be unpacked, most to be shoved into a 40 foot shipping container.

I'll be looking for a new farm! I must have a brain tumor or something. LOL LOL

Internet gets cut off tomorrow, feel free to share this on the coffee thread to update everybody.

Love ya' bunches Dana!
Thanks Carol :hugs

Isn't Dana just amazing. A real living wonder woman. :love

Good Morning. Between breakfast #1 and breakfast #2. Having my herbal tea and thinking about thoughts.

With a recent hearing test I related to the doctor the many years of impaired hearing experienced. As we left that exam room, she turned and said, you do very good.

Maybe you know how a near deaf person talks. The impairment transfers. They don't hear themselves, or not clearly. When I hear a new word, I probably imagine the pronunciation more than hear it. It may be a word that I'm familiar with from reading. ... i have to be careful what words i verbally use and make elementary choices ;).

Do my thoughts reflect this? Do I think in letters? Of course not! But, I'm not bad at Wordle ;).

:D Steve

Coffee with a blanket over me. My office is cold this morning. It is 10 and feels like 1 the weather says, sunny and breezy. Reading news about Russia and wondering what it means for the USA. My washing machine got fixed. The other day I just could not get the clothes dry. The washer would not spin and I put big towels outside to drip and try to dry the smaller stuff and then bring the big towels back in. DS later was getting ready to take a shower and no dry towels. He got on google and read about this machine, ordered a part and it came yesterday. He came home from work, took the washer apart and worked on it and put it all back and it SPINS. Dry clothes, dry towels.

i'm envious of anyone who has room to work on anything. :) our utility room is rather tight between the washer, shower stall, toilet and hot water heater, there's only a 3ftx3ft area where the door swings inwards that is clear and about a foot and a half of wiggle room around the hot water heater and about two feet of wiggle room for the washer. the washer is also a stacked unit with the dryer on top.

The laundry room is small, but nothing like that. The dryer is in there and a small chest freezer and the hot water heater.

Good Morning. The chopped up Honey crisp apple nearly melted in the microwave so it went into the bowl of oatmeal with some actual honey. The apple juices deterred me from adding butter. I've come to consider that the addition of milk of any kind is just a dilution of hot cereal. Not such a good attitude re calorie intake.

@Phaedra Geiermann , reading a little about tangelos and now dekopan oranges ... thinking that I should be able to keep them separate when shopping in the produce aisle if/when they show up. I wonder if any of these somewhat uncommon fruits might save the California citrus growers (& their neighbors) some water. I used to enjoy visiting the Central Valley orange groves during the blooming season. Only the honey bees must have enjoyed those visits more. But, Cali needs to conserve H2O.
