i'm waking up way too early these days. i know why, a bit anxious about what i have to do today and know it's going to be a PITA.

another frosty night. sunny day. calm wind high forecast near 61F.

much this week weather is 60-66F and no rain now forecast until Friday. possibly a chance of frost tonight, but then on for the week all warmer nights.

nice weather means i get this house project done! will be glad to see the end of this for sure and back to gardening and getting things put up for winter.

Ended up drinking 3 cups of coffee yesterday to survive. One at the start of the work day. An iced coffee upon leaving work and to pick up groceries and the cat from the vet. Then another at the sports game I went too last night so that I wouldn’t pass out on the drive home. I only slept about 6 hours last night so I’m still quite tired with a big day ahead again. I plan on sneaking a nap in there somewhere though.

The alarm went off this morning at 5:47. A tiny voice said, “Mamaw?” LOL
Coffee is ready. Breakfast will be toaster waffles.
My late husband used to wake me up with "Coffee's ready." That was in the semi-distant past when coffee liked me as much as I liked it. Now tea is easier on my aging digestive system, and I have to make it myself. The old days were better days.

Also Pippa is adorable, and best wishes for Sentry's continued recovery.

My late husband made coffee for me every morning too. I miss those old days.

Thank you, Pippa will go home tomorrow along with my 3 granddaughters. Sentry had a real good day today, outside working with Sheba, guarding the sheep. He’s inside again tonight, but if he keeps this up, he may go back to work in a couple of days. He’s a darn fine dog and he’s my baby. :)

Oh, I slept late ...

Tried not to be up too early, like yesterday ... but was out even before Pippa and Sentry that morning. Up by 2AM is never my choice but it happens. Can never blame it on Garbanzo because, I can't hear her - certainly not through 2 doors. This AM, I went back to bed and it worked :).

The crescent Moon was sure pretty in the SW sky last night. Waxing ...

Steve, early riser, i guess

Spent the last two hours trying to figure out why I was still so tired after getting 9 hours of sleep. Now that the coffee has kicked in I had to remind myself that that’s the first night I’ve gotten more than 6 hours of sleep this week and I spent all day yesterday moving furniture. No wonder I feel like crap still. Unfortunately I’ve got church and family obligations today and work on Monday so no rest for me. I plan on going to bed as soon as I get home this afternoon. Even if it’s as early as 4pm.

My husband still gets me up with "coffee's ready." I try to be up before that, but sometimes it's not happening, and once I start my new job, we will see how much time I have for coffee, especially if it is snowing.

a teaspoon of instant coffee and a cup of water from the tap. 10-20 seconds max...
