Super nice day, 61F good weather to catch up on outside clean up. Got a lot done before it was time to stop .
No deer or antelope tracks or any sign of scat littering the pastures. Just a last warm lovely day out in the garden very much appreciated , rain due the rest of the week. The colors of Autumn is outstanding this season makes it difficult to stay focused on tasks.

You might say that about apples, Mary. But, I always peel an apple. And, usually microwave it these days. As a kid, I didn't understand why I didn't like apples, since I liked apple pie. Peelings.

Steve

that's crazy talk man!

most of the flavor is in the peelings! but, hey, i'm ok if you want to be the rebel and peel away that icky stuff, if i were local i'd say dry them as they will get sweeter and be a much better snack.

I'm with you Flowerbug! I even leave the peels on mashed potatoes (unless I'm offering them to company, in which case I bow to convention and peel them). Worse still are those who remove seeds from blackberries, cucumbers, or even tomatoes. Blasphemy! These fruits and vegies are nothing without their seeds!

I do cut up apples into 4 parts, removing the core, these days to make them easier to eat. Preparing apples and carrots is always tinged with sadness these days, knowing there are no horses or ponies to share with.

Lunch is Raisin bran...with water...

because you ran out of milk or because that is how you like it? i mix skim milk and water in my morning cereal most times because i really want a lot more liquid but i don't want to use that much milk and i can't really taste the difference anyways.

If anyone is a talopia fish luver then I have a good recipe to share.just stumbled across this idea.

4 talopia thin sliced - fried in garlic butter lemon juice salt pepper, to taste. let cool.
Add 10 soda crackers crushed 3tbls- relish, 3tbls -onions .
Place all ingredients in a bowl add mayo to taste salt pepper. That’s it.
It can be served as a sandwich with lettuce, tomato.
Rolled up in lettuce as a wrap add cashews for wraps. Add dip of your choice.
Or Simply eat alone as salad.
It’s much better than tuna and tastier. Easy to make .
Cheers.

For a second breakfast, finished 2 English muffins with microwaved, diced apple inside ;). You wouldn't have denied me my apple-a-day, would you?

Now, on to a hot cup of coffee.
