It has rained so much! By yesterday afternoon my road in front of the farm was flooded. I saw a neighbor that lives past me drive through it, kicking up rooster tails of water. Hope it’s drained off this morning.
On my second cup of coffee. Still dark outside. I’ll feed Spot the bottle lamb and the rest of the sheep before church.

A Happy New Year breakfast: oolong with orange zest (Christmas treat from DD), Grape Nut Flakes with the baked apple & raisins on the bottom of the bowl and a banana on top.

Looking outside, it doesn't seem like January One –– only just below freezing and the promised snowstorm hasn't quite started enough to cover the ground. That looks like it may be the extent of it from the radar map, just covering the ground. By Friday, the forecast is for more going on but it will also be warm enough that rain & melting will be in the story.

@SPedigrees was asking about general living resolutions for 2025 and said that books will play a more important part of her time. DS bought me a subscription to National Geographic for the year. That magazine used to have an important role with Mom providing it for me, year after year and then I took it over in the '90's for about 20 years. Events ... changes ... but it will be back! DS has his subscription and has enjoyed it. And, I'm interested in this new "history" edition that will also be coming.

Try to get back close to that 3 servings of fruit every morning resolution. I recently noticed that I drifted off of that as Winter began and the great abundance of fruit available in the market became not so novel. No time to rely on starches, starches, sugar, sugar ... It is difficult to do the 3 servings for breakfast without excluding everything else but I can come close. Veggies play a large role in lunch and dinner but I can and do enjoy the fruit for breakfast. Don't we all?
