Ducks …Yes we were headed to another drought. We have experienced droughts due to climate change in previous years. However this season snow pack in the Cascades is way above average the melted snow and run off flows into the tributaries and rivers that feed thru to the reservoirs. However the well water level drops during the summers since climate change and water use can be restricted.

Toxic metals, Glyphosate found in Girl Scout Cookies. Lab tests found glyphosate in all sampled Girl Scout cookies and toxic metals in a majority of cookies tested sparking health and safety concerns.
Yikes who wudda thought. Thought just the sugar alone in the cookies would be toxic.

No, it would not have occurred to me that vanilla might be this versatile! I will try it. Vanilla is popular here at home.

i love vanilla, but i also don't need to tone down the tomatoes. to each their own for sure... :)

i would not want to use the expensive vanilla extracts for experiments like this. our last few ounces in our bottle from many years ago are way too precious (gollum) for me to risk it. as it turns out the cheap stuff i bought is really wimpy to me and i've used a lot of it the past few months.

i am still searching for better from a good supplier and not going to be making my own as i do want something more predictable in quality and flavor.

as a completely something different approach to tea/coffee, last night i wanted something warm to drink but i also wanted to have some prunes so i made prune tea. :) basically it was just some prunes in extra water, heated up and then stewed for five minutes, then mashed up in the hot water to get all the flavor out and into the hot water. worked just fine for me. Mom was still awake so i talked to her about eating stewed prunes in school hot lunches that most other kids wouldn't touch. i have always liked them. but to Mom the comment was that who would think i'd be talking about such a thing some 50+yrs later. :)
