Evidently most bikers today are old. No youngsters are stepping in to replace the old timers. So said the news reporter covering the annual rally in Laconia NH this past summer, and for sure it was a sea of grey-haired riders behind and around him. How can that even be? So your cartoon is not so far fetched.

one of my nephews tried to step in but ended up wiping out a few weeks ago by hitting a stick. now he will be months in recovering and will probably have lifelong issues (like one of his uncles (me), but also all four of us siblings have had motorcycle wipe outs or injuries). i really hope his brother rethinks getting one (he was considering it last time we saw him) because i don't really think he's got the head for it any more than his brother did.
even with me taking a motorcycle safety course and trying to be careful i still messed up and there's very little room for errors on a motorcycle. gravity can be a harsh mistress...
Same here I put more trust my horses…than deal with another motorcycle crash..it’s the other auto drivers that are the problem.
Grandpa’s SNL was better than the SNL now.
