I once bought a round, channel backed chair at a flea market for $2. It was covered in dirty white brocade and was sporting mildew. It was sitting outside, it was wet and it positively stunk. I was thrilled.

I drug it home, placing it in the garage and starting stripping it. I threw away all the stuffing and padding. I kept the fabric pieces for a pattern. I sanded the rust off the springs and bleached the wood frame to kill the mold and mildew. I started rebuilding it, new padding, new foam, a light blue velvet upholstery and it turned out beautiful. It was very comfortable and we had it many years. DD took it off to college with her and from there, where it went, I don't know.

My daughter went shopping in my kitchen when she went off to college. Oldest grand daughter has already announced that she intends to do the same. LOL My Daughter has the enameled antique colander that I dug out of a dump in Baytown when I was 19. I loved it and I am pleased that she wanted it and loves it as much as I did. She also has all the old metal cookie cutters that I spent years collecting at flea markets and used them when the kids were small. The list could go on.....LOL

We dumpster dived today at Lowes! Hot, out in the sun, soaked in sweat, dirt, digging out flats of 3” pots. They were full of dead plants, which we dumped. We got a good assortment of starter pots, they filled the back seat. I feel rich! :rainbowflower

My sheep working abilities have been seriously hampered by the unwillingness of my sheep to stand still and let me poke, prod, give shots, squirt nasty tasting worm medicine in their mouth and various other maintenance things. My method has been to launch myself at a victim, roll over in the wonderous mixture of sheep poop, hay, dirt and who knows what, sit on said sheep or do my best to hold it down, administer a dose of something that plainly, it does not want, getting stomped on, kicked, peed on in the process. Castrating the ram lambs is even more fun.

It was with great excitement that I found sheep working equipment in Craigslist for the paltry sum of $650. New, the same equipment would cost $955 so that was a darn good price. We went to see it. We talked strategy before we got there and agreed that we would walk off to talk about it and then BJ would offer $500.

I was salivating over this equipment. I was not leaving without it. We walked off to talk about it. I shook my head yes, he shook his head no, we mumbled to each other, then walked back to the sellers. BJ said, "Well it's not what she really wants, but she said she can make it work. " Reaching in his pocket, he brought out $100 dollar bills and said, "If you will take $500, we'll load it up right now." They walked off to talk about it, came back and said "we'll take it"

They threw in a couple of half hog panels. I was ecstatic.
