Demons roasting marshmellows?!? Very interesting...

Here I thought they only roasted sinners. Heathens. Unclean. Infidels.

I remembered that someone was trying to find a home for their 6' metal rooster on CL. Seems her spouse was put off by it and evicted the poor thing. Crazy Lady was all for it, but like all things free, the 2 hour drive wasn't working for me. I'm sure the rooster went to a better home than here. Maybe with another pool to watch over.

Haha! I thought I was in hell once, but it was Texas in July.

Yes, and hell froze over when I was in Indiana for 4 years straight. Can't imagine going FARTHER north.

Why not Minot? Freezin' is the reason!

Ah, fond memories. Glad I lived.

Just so you know, July is pleasant. August is when the heat finally kicks in. You know, when the cactus starts sweating. Never understood sauna's. Just step outside.

Yes, July is the warning for all people that can't stand the heat...

Had some interesting conversations with Canucks concerning the heat. They assured me that it got hot up north. I asked about the humidity and got a funny look. Set and spike. I win.

Went to the desert and enjoyed the weather. But my goodness, I was thirsty. Dry heat is something else.

oh dear, humidity in summer, gets soggy around here, a lot of fogs in this low spot, one reason why i've pretty much given up on many of the more finicky tulip varieties and tulip cross breeding. then again, whatever survives here now is mostly pretty hardy as i'm mostly neglecting them.

i don't think i could take southern heat without losing about 20-30 lbs. i used to really enjoy it when it got hot outside, but the AC comes on now because Mom can't tolerate the heat/humidity and so i never get a chance to acclimate to it any more. i'd have to live outside. so, i end up going with the flow and siesta during the midday instead. :) i used to get by when i lived in TN with just a small fan to keep the air moving if it got too hot and that was enough.
