I just ordered four varieties of tall bearded Iris this week and would clean one spot for the Iris and lavender patch. Both are drought tolerant perennials after established. As Iris has to be divided every three year, they will offer me lovely cut flowers and additional plants to sell in my shop.

The below capabilities are essential for me when consider to invest in new plants: overwinter, 'oversummer (drought tolerant)', look great in the garden and in the vase, and easy to propagate.

This Café au Lait already naturalized, and this is her third year, without special winter care.

Damask Violets (Hesperis matronalis) prove to be a lovely filler for bouquet arrangements.

Well, I do have the capacity and skill for running a mini flora shop.

#23029: Lily, Gladiolus, and Crocosmia
Crocosmia is one of my favorite flowers that I tried this year.
Gladiolus is not that easy to arrange in a bouquet, but these Double Oriental Lilies (pollen free) can balance them pretty well.

#23030: Dahlia, Snapdragon, Damask Violet, Zinnia, Rose, Baby's-breath, and Calla Lily
It's a pinkish bouquet, kind of more pricy one.

#23031: Dahlia, Zinnia, Damask Violet, Yarrow, Baby's-breath, and Mint (as foliage)

A very delightful and colorful one - the Queen Lime Zinnia is so 'Lime'! It has certain vibe, young, bold, and energetic.

Which one do you like?

I also cut back the pink baby's-breath this morning, as they did show some signs for a second flush. Some went to the compost heap, and I still had handful.

Yes 🙃 .

Of course the lilies are beautiful. Is the fragrance okay for the indoors?? And, I like gladiolas ... Americans too often refer to them as "funeral flowers." Come on! Any flower can be for a funeral ...

Gladiolas are taken as the flowers to wordship gods or ancestors in Taiwan, but very limited in colors. When I saw the endless lovely varieties in Europe, really impressed. They are not so easy to be arranged with other flowers - most of the time, I have to remove both the flowers at the bottom and buds on the top.

You have an amazing flower arranging talent! One of my aunts used to make really beautiful dried flower arrangements.
