nice call using family piece for vase. I love when people use heirlooms, much better then stored away in a closet.

I just hope I'm not the one who breaks it!

But I agree, better to use those things that have been passed down and give them some life than to let them collect dust.

No matter how hard I try I can never do a arrangement that looked good. My oldest friend is a florist and even tried teaching me

When a friend gave me this little wall vase I liked it, but thought it would never get used.
It turns out that it's a really fun little item to have. You just stick a few blooms in and enjoy them for a few days then change them out with something else.
Sometimes I just put a few fern fronds with
fiddleheads in it, or an interesting grass seed head. It's no pressure flower "arranging". Truly a plunker.

Naw, not just a Christmas decoration. It is a small birdhouse decorated with a pine and a moose. Pretty much what she sees out her window every day

And that is it's designated location.
