@Smart Red I like the color as it looks in the 2nd photo.
Isn't it amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do for a room!
(You all have been very busy there.)

Oh wow, that color looks so good with your buffet! Interesting how the changing light affects the intensity of the orangieness.
Very nice. And it would make a wonderful cozy living room as well. :)

Mary I have found it in supermarkets, there are other band names. I was told to rub with super fine steel wool to loosen grim then wipe off. I once use on a leather chair I thought was fake leather from a yard sale. Worked great but dont think I would have tried if I knew was real leather.

Thank you all for your advice. I fear that without your help and encouragement I would have opted for the safe neutral off white-ish something in there. I do like the change! Now to show it to the BFF twins and see what they say. Like mine, their houses are multi-shades of white on white.

Looooooooove the new color, and it looks really terrific with the buffet. I wouldn't change the light fixtures in the living room, from what i can tell they have an industrial look that's really hot right now!!

Much better! I like the bolder hue, it will look more formal. I agree, it works great with that dining room suite. Will you still be able to use your blue curtains?

I think the blue curtains will still go well with the walls. If not, I am no longer against trying something new. As a new twist, we are going to try putting the living room furniture into the room we just painted. It will make a more intimate sitting space and we will make the larger sunken room into the dining room.

I had already considered switching the dining room and the TV room, but decided against it because I didn't want outside shoes walking right onto the white carpeting. I'm not sure it will work, but it is worth a try.

I guess after almost 40 years I am ready for a change or two. Since DH stays, I'll turn my attention to the house.
