numbers continue to slowly decline for hospitalisations in Michigan. not sure if we'll see any uptick because of the newer BA.2 variant that has become dominant. hopefully by summer this will mostly be back where things were last summer and everyone can get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

even with repeated studies showing the same thing some people (including doctors) will not let this go.

I only glanced at it, but wonder why they chose to delay treatment for 7 days. I'm pretty sure (but could be misremembering) that this medication shines when given at the first sign of symptoms or as a prophylactic.

Just thinking about petroleum products and the massive convenience of plastics in modern times. I could even say overwhelming conveniences .

DW just wanted me to help her with eye drops and she has these plastic tubes that are broken open and drops come out.

I know that I have said it before but the only plastic in our home when I became aware of the world was the bakelite plugs on electrical wires. Even the wires were not covered with plastic - they had rubber and fabric coverings.

I have since learned that bakelite was being used for telephones by then. Wood and metal phones were becoming a thing of the past altho I can remember using them . But, I don't remember that we had a telephone. Maybe Grandma Goldie had a phone but she lived in the house on the other side of the driveway .

I'd like to see someone squeeze a liquid out of bakelite ... "Saranwrap," plastic bottles and jars, polyester fabric, all of that showed up later.

I'm not starting any form of discussion here just stating the facts as I have heard them from a majority of people in my area, they are varied and could have been a result of covid...

Since their Vaccines or covid, many have lost their taste with some to this day not regaining taste plus a sort of repugnant smell disorder.

In one instance there's a lady that can no longer tolerate any foods that have any kind of strawberry smell, yet she used too love strawberries now if she gets the scent of a strawberry she's is sometimes even physically sick and she has not tasted her food in many months.

Almost everyone has these wretched colds (that I cannot remember the name of) covid, vile unexplainable headaches, where the pain moves around their heads from back front and sides along with severe stomach problems.
Others have had all of the above along with having severe pain in their eyes.

One lady has a flashing lights as she bends down and feels like she's going to faint, she also turns really nasty with the nastiest of mood swings. This same woman has high blood pressure. Her husband who hasn't had blood pressure before is now taking blood pressure meds he also has had months of stomach problems and colds

Then there has been the blood clots, a 23 year old had one on his brain. Several people have had heart problem's for the first time even full on heart attacks. Only one person I have spoken too had heart problems of this kind in the past.

It's all a mystery to me

The second booster was about 3 weeks ago for me. Let's see, 28 April, yep, 4th shot.

I noticed nothing as a reaction to that this time. With the other shots, I had some "discomfort" in my arm but it really was minor. This time, I could not detect anything.

I just had some steak and, as usual, the new-to-us barbecue sauce was too strongly flavored to my liking. (We need to go back and buy the one I like!) We sampled the Ethiopian kale and it was extremely mild - as expected from such young plants. I went on to mustard greens that are from the hoop house and they had a good deal more flavor and were nice and tender from that environment. Gatorade, coffee - each as I would expect them.

My blood pressure ... I'll pull the cuff on for the machine we have here ... 96/50. How About That? I must be rather relaxed here at home and maybe sleepy from lunch .

I was noticing yesterday as I buzzed around with sprinklers and hose that I have gained some coordination from daily activity beyond walking that boring mile that makes up so much of my exercise on Winter days. I say that hoping not to jinx myself - I mean, I did nearly stumble over a hose yesterday so it wasn't all smooth sailing!

this recent resurgeance is a nuciance! it doesn't seem as of yet that it is driving a large number of fatalities. i hope this remains the case.
