@Nyboy here are some Moss Rose from around my pond before the columbine took over. I liked the flowers all summer. The columbine only blooms a short time. I am thinking I will need to move some columbine and add moss rose next year.

Went to dentist for teeth cleaning this afternoon, spend so much money she gave me a freebie today. So I went plant hunting with money. Had to go to 3 nursers everyone had lantanas picked up purple and yellow. Moss rose was hard to find last place had 2 hang baskets of it. I picked up one thinking I would divide for window boxes but am kind of liking it in basket.

Ice plant is planted along banks by the freeways. They bloom forever and stay green here. I know with your winters they won't but I'm sure they will bloom for you for a very long time. They're not as pretty as Moss Rose but they are very hardy.

Just mentioning succulents again...even though they don't have flowers for the most part, I really think they make awesome container plantings.

Would they overwinter in a window box in New England states? Mine do fine in the ground. Just wondered about a window box.
