I believe that presently the commercial use of drones is not permitted without a special license, of which the FAA has issued very few. Amazon, utility companies and film production companies would like to use them. The FAA is dragging their feet on the commercial use of drones. My son is a professional photographer and has had to turn down a number of clients who have asked him to use his drone. He can and has donated photos to the state encon department though. He had to refuse the city of Troy recently.

Obviously they are not going to make 2015, as they have already missed the deadline a few years in a row now. Other countries, like Australia and some European countries, are moving forward with them.

DJI recommends that you learn to fly on an inexpensive drone before using a large one. It is better to crash a thirty dollar drone than a thousand dollar drone. Even Miss Ava has a drone. As for me, I have flown several small drones for quite sometime before I graduated to a DJI.

A Drone flew over the Thanksgiving parade in NYC. FBI rushed in and tracked to a field with father and his 14 year old son. The shock of enjoying holiday with family, when your surround by big black SUVs, Men in black jump out with guns ordering you down on the ground. What a story 14 year old had when school was back in.
