Here are the Muncher seedlings. Should have enough time to fruit before late October frost.
I have been down this rodeo before. They will be taking off.

I didn't think I would get a tomato harvest, BUT, I have 1/2 a dozen fruit this size. I figure to start harvesting the hybrid red beefsteak that I planted in a few weeks. Being a horse owner there is Plenty of baling twine. I like to gently loop it around the tomato plants to tie to the fencing, if I didn't already stuff the tops through to the other side of the fencing.

This was IT, for today's outside work. R knee was painful this morning. Took aspirin at 3PM, now L knee is throbbing. :hit:hit:hit
Time for wine, and early bedtime...will try tomorrow. 😩
I Should add that I was on my feet Inside today, cleaning up from Sunday dinner, bed making, and putting on vegetables in the crock pot for vegetable broth, so I don't feel like a Total slacker. 🥲

Can't believe I have been Christmas shopping today!
I think there is an audience that buys stuff on sale this time of year.
Bought the sleeves for both DD's and found Wayfair had Egyptian cotton sateen sheets, 73% off, which Really means 8% off bc there is a 65% markup and NOBODY doesn't make a profit.
Still, about ~$30 for FULL cotton sheets, w/S&H isn't bad.
Youngest DD will be very happy.
Sale through Sunday, August 18th, FYI.

Went gardening shopping...aGAIN. I didn't save my 2023 garlic well. :love
Then, I didn't really replant. I have a lot of seeds left that will go in the ground soon, but I wanted to buy some more garlic.
OH MY GOSH garlic has gotten exPENSIVE!!!
I looked around online and I found this grower:

I bought 2 pounds of German garlic.
I should ADD that I did get a meager harvest that will also be planted soon.

Harvested 4 more pistachio green cucumbers that we will have with chicken salad sandwiches tonight.
I spotted a long dark green cucumber, so there is another type that I will need to research to find out what it is.
Judging from my orders I THINK the mystery cucumber is Cucumber Ashley:

OOOOOO, it's an heirloom! If we like it I will be tapping @heirloomgal , for how to save seeds. :hugs
This was developed at Clemson, Father's Alma Mater, went there on the G I Bill and got a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, then went to night school at Temple (Philadelphia,) for his Masters.
Just some family background info.

NO HIVES in over 2 months!!! :weee:weee:weee
BUT, I got an allergic rash from weeding the other day. :rant
I put Desitin all over my face where the rash was, which WAS all over my face, last night. Most of it is gone, now.
My throat doesn't close up or an other severe allergic reactions, just kinda the same as poison ivy.
I find, and DD's do, too, that Poison Ivy Soap really helps.
I keep mine in shower shelf in a soap travel container.
Poison Ivy Soap Instructions:
  • Temporarily protects and helps relieve minor skin irritation and itching due to Poison Ivy, Oak or Sumac.
  • Place a little lather on affected area and leave on to dry.*
  • Dries clear; won't stain fabrics
  • Repeat as necessary
*I missed those instructions

I need opinions. I posted my 2024 yearly thread on "EVERYTHING ELSE GARDEN."
I noticed that others put Their yearly growing information threads on 'ABOUT ME & MY GARDEN", or
"RANDOM RAMBLINGS."
Where do YOU think I should post my 2025 thread? Interested in opinions. Thx! :hugs
