YAY for knee surgery!! Once recovered, it will be one of the best things you ever did for yourself. Don’t worry about the scar. There’s enough of us sporting the same brand, and nobody cares. It doesn’t leave much of a mark when healed.

I’m now pain free, used to lurch around like I’d been on a 3 day drunk. Was in pain 24-7. I now can scamper up and down a ladder like a monkey. I do just about anything I want to. You will too and it will be awesome. Get all the therapy you can. I told my therapist to make it hurt because my level of activity is not shopping at the mall. She worked me hard. I requested a second session and the surgeon signed the paperwork so I did more therapy. It will help you even more if you can get a second session.

We are like classic cars. Parts wear out. The hospital has spare parts and we can get all fixed up! Back on the road again!

thx! Wasn't even thinking about the scar. I have seen same scar on a 45yo.
DH says his triple bypass surgery scar is now just a white line.
SO HAPPY I had this surgery!!! :weee:weee:weee
Soon I will be jumping for joy!!
I have the same therapist that I had last Spring. He, too, is pushing me BUT warning that I am NOT to build muscle yet on my right knee, but to keep the muscles stretched out. Today we are at 98degrees max, and I should expect gradual but steady improvement to 120 degrees.
We also worked on/discussed my left leg which is -12 degrees straight. I am to Really work that one before it's surgery. I have the muscle, but he wants to see it straightened out.
I am to bring discharge packet of exercises Friday, so that we can track progress.
DD bought me 3 pairs of loose shorts to wear under sweatpants so that the therapist can watch my leg.

My best advice from several joint implants are my lessons learned . Which are : “Do Not allow the PT instructor to push you” . ‼️If it hurts quit … that’s it. It will all come to fruition in time. They can also, cause set backs . This is not their knee they have not experienced the surgery. They are just following a rehab plan and not everyone heals at the same pace. I think your doing Fantabulous ‼️ AND have a great sense of humor…👏
Sending healing blessings your way. 🙏🏽

Today Eldest DD is making the traditionally Pre Thanksgiving Turkey dinner, to take any bugs out of the real one later this month.
She has that really rich broth that I made recently. I will get even More bones and vegetables to make MORE really rich turkey broth.
Btw, starting walking some steps without the wheelie walker. Still I am being VERY CAREFUL.
Been out to eat 2x in the last several days so I had to negotiate steps.
YOU REALLY have to talk to yourself.
Bad/recovering knee goes Down first so that supported good/better leg can support it.
Good/better knee goes Up first to support.
Step up, feet together, step down feet together.
It's like a dance.
I hope you feel better soon! 🙏
