when people ask me if i sell what i grow that's a common thought and reply. i could not really ever charge enough for some of these things and we do have a few friends who insist on paying, but to me the ones who are best of all are those who bring us cases of brand new canning jars with lids (if they can't bring back the ones we gave them).

I don't have time to experiment with making pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce.
I will try this in the winter, from the jars downstairs.

we get the tomatoes canned as chunks as they come in and leave the rest of it for when we are actually making the sauces because each recipe we make uses different ingredients.

sorry to hear about Pyg @ducks4you they sure do take big chunks of our hearts when they go but i keep telling myself that as long as i'm still alive i can regrow it all again eventually.

Very sorry for your loss. Does Eva miss Pyg? It looks like they were buddies. Dogs don't live long enough; it seems their lives are over in the blink of an eye.

This is the Pyg that I remember. She always barked and growled at strangers, sometimes even my friends, but was a happy little soul and my best friend when DH had heart surgery and later went in for a pacemaker and defibrillator.

Eva sorta misses Pyg, but "Pyg" hasn't really been there for the past few months.
Eva is a little bit out of sorts, but she isn't laying on her grave.
