I looked at the price! :th
NOT now!
After sleeping on it, I decided that Lowe's can pick up their piece of garbage, and I will buy something on the floor from the other somewhat local appliance store bc THEY service what they sell.
Meanwhile, DD's will be out of town, 3 day weekend, and I will use theirs for, maybe the next week.

So...Whirlpool did NOT call me back yesterday. :somad:somad:somad
Lowe's manager didn't return my call, EITHER. :rant:rant:rant
Gotta take the truck in town tomorrow for a general check before DH and DD's CO vacation next month.
DH suggested that I dress up and talk to the manager personally.
Meanwhile Speed Queen has been recommended to me, in the case that I demand a full refund/pickup.
I will keep you updated...

make sure you get any problems documented and fixed before the warranty period expires.

Mom bought our current washer/dryer combination without really doing any research or much thinking about what she wanted and it's really not the right machine for her and how she wants to do things. aside from that when the load is unbalanced it will shake the front panel right off the machine. shortly after it was installed we had the problem and called the company and three different times we had people come out and look at it but everyone said that it was normal for this machine to not stop even when the load was unbalanced. i was like "What the heck this thing is destroying itself and we can't walk away when we want to run a load of laundry!" and because Mom did not get an extended warranty plan the original place that sold it to us would not take it back.

to say the least this is the last machine from that company i'll purchase and of course other problems are now happening that it's been shaking itself apart.

sometimes we have to unplug the machine (i turn off the breaker instead it's too hard to get at the plug) and wait a bit until it resets all the computer crap inside of it. sometimes it stops part way through a load and doesn't restart. when we open the door to the dryer it doesn't stop all the time, etc. etc. etc.

if i could pick it up and throw it it would be out by the road by now.

so, grrr! i understand completely... :(

Today, I did manage to plant 2 rows of actual Kentucky POLE beans since I found my pole bean seeds, and the went under the chicken wire fencing. I planted 2 rows of red okra just to the north of them. Now 12 ft long fencerow #3 is planted bc I planted sweet corn on the south side of the fencing.
I was going to plant more, but I had to shovel out the soil right next to the fecning since some had compacted, and I used my gloves to loosen up any clumps, big or small. I still need to do this to the north side of the 1st fencerow, where I had transplanted sugar snap peas, now wity some weeds, so not too hard to reclaim.
I may be disappointed in my corn, but the two rows of corn and beans that are up Do look pretty!

You have some lovely flowers.
I gave up on buying from Lowes on appliances. I went to a family owned appliance store in Tyler. Now I’ve moved and have to find a new place to do business. I will pay more up front so I can have the convenience of service when needed.

I DIDn't want to buy again from the one appliance store bc it took 5 months for my freezer to come in. NOW, I am thinking I Should go in and buy a washer on the floort, bc THEY SERVICE THEM!!!
DH wants me to dress up and arrange for a CC refund from Lowe's. I'm thinking that's the best option.
MEANWHILE, DD's are out of town, had to stop to feed their ("chonks"), read that, "2 cats," so I threw a load in their washer on the wasy to the restaurant, then picked them up and brought them home to dry, since my dryer still works.

It is Great when your idea works!! I drained the cistern that is next to the house by watering my plants, and it's maybe 12-15 ft deep. Haven't touch a drop from the cistern in front of the barn in decades, maybe 25 ft?
How to get water from one to the other?
Bought a pump, like the one you use to empty a swimming pool, or clean out a flooded basement. After trying several hoses, we FINALLY got the right combination, and through trial and error, we figured out how to get the suction to pull from one and empty into another. Sure glad that I raised the crown on this pine tree!
Here are a couple of pictures of today's adventure!
