Garden Master
When I first visited Mom's childhood home in Oregon the house was still standing, the barn was still standing, and the spring house was still standing.
The outline of a Large Garden was still there, downhill from the spring house. She told me that all water for the garden was carried there in buckets.
It seemed like a pleasant little place. There was a door and room to go in. The pool of water wasn't very deep and overflowing during Summer visits.

within a few years, the house was taken down. remarkably, beneath the house the ground between the foundation walls was littered with blue glass Vicks Vapo-Rub bottles. they were many miles from the nearest doctor and there were 9 kids in the family
