I don't know if I should worry about any single tree pest but the drought has been very hard on many trees. Will they be attacked by pests next year? I think it may be inevitable.

We're seeing a lot of trees that are suffering/dying from bark beetle. our chainsaws will be busy soon cutting them down.
In the residential areas where I work there is a lot of balsam wooly adelgid damage. It's not an easy pest to get rid of evidently.
Subzero winter temperatures and a cold wet spring are helpful in the control if it's spread, something we didn't get this last season, and probably won't get this coming season either.
This weird warmth has me feeling very uneasy.
