Hi Mary. Is it the first time it has bloomed off?
Normally after the bloom is over, the flowers remain for two or three months, then they take a rest for another two or three months. In the meantime, just water them as you usually do. But never cut off the stem, until it's completely dry. If there's enough light for it (but not under direct sunlight), they should bloom without any extra effort. I water mine once a week, sitting them in a pot with water for some 10-20 min. And you?

Valerie, orchid was bought from a florist. I do everything you say. Should I fertilize it? It is 2 plants in individual pots placed in side the gold one.

Nyboy, I've posted this picture before. It was a $250 orchid that my husband bought for a very special client. She gave it to him when she left to go back to NY. She's coming back and we would like to have it blooming again by April to surprise her. She has everything money can buy (even an island) so little things like this mean a lot to her.
