To help in finding a word or term faster, on your computers do a CTL-F for find when researching an article.

http://www.mnn.com/food/healthy-eating/stories/genetic-engineering-vs-selective-breeding

Here is further information on what genetics is and is not. There is pollination and there is genetics. There are some things that Mother Nature never intended, to happen. Like inserting an insecticide BT into an ear of corn, or a virus into a banana to inoculate those eating the banana. Maybe a fish gene into a tomato to extend the shelf life of the tomato, and there that tomato sits in your gut..just waiting and waiting, to digest.

Unintended side effects. http://natureinstitute.org/txt/ch/nontarget.php

http://natureinstitute.org/nontarget/browse_titles.php REPORTS. Remember that corn is also called maize. Make sure you see the links inside each of the articles for more data.

Having been here before, many times, I do realize that there are some who do not wish to read anything contrary to their opinion, and consider their word, sacrosanct. As for me, I go with the historical and scientific evidence, and I do try to keep an open mind.

I have been reading about and hearing expert testimony on this material for at least eighteen years or more. This is nothing new. The public has only recently been made aware of this by cattle getting sick and some dying, and by farmers like Mr. Percy.

Why are other countries refusing to buy these products and NOT allowing them into their countries?

For goodness sake, do not believe a thing I say or do. Find out for yourselves. Take no ones word for anything and stay alert.

In time, all will be made clear. However, personally I think it is too late and I think the genie is already out of the bottle. We woke up too late and one sign is that our bees are disappearing and if left unchanged there could be a loss of 20% or more of our food supply.

I'll ask one time, then I'm done.

Where are these animals getting sick from eating GMO products? I work with farmers who have fed them ever since they have been introduced. Their hogs, chickens, turkeys, beef and dairy are all fine. 25 years of experience trumps your biased articles.

Name a country that doesn't import GMO corn. They all do. Before any new release is planted it either goes into a special market OR EVERY country in world signs off on it. Agriculture takes a very serious view and stance concerning our food.

This is troublesome that you keep making these wild claims over and over and over and over...........

I get it, you don't like GMO. AgReliant is the world's largest non-GMO corn breeder, have your people buy from them, support them. It's out there if you want to look and pay for it. Won't be as cheap as GMO. Or do we not like corps either? If not, go back to open pollinated, 35 bushel yields and watch people starve. Think world anarchy!

Sweetheart, what planet are you on? :(

I am saying good-bye now. I have been here before and I will not put these good folks through any of our haggling back and forth, and any other misrepresentations. I do not intend on purpose to put folks in harms way when I know better. They if they wish will check things for themselves.

As Gordon Gekko said, Greed is good.

I lied. I have to ask again, WHAT country does NOT IMPORT GMO corn? Should be easy answer, sweetheart.

The gene that they looked at splicing into tomatoe was from algae. Fish get it from eating algae. We are told to eat more fish. Science looked into because worlds fish supply is limited and poor cant afford fish. Was easy way to allow poor to enjoy health benefits. You KNEW this from all your studies and decided to not share this? Intent???? Do you want to comment on fish getting algae gene from consumption? Gene addition never happens in nature, I believe you typed? Don't confuse this with chromosomes as fish chromosomes never changed. To my knowledge this product has never hit the market but I could be wrong.

Again I ask, what country does not import GMO corn?

I read your articles, nothing new, none answered the question. That not all parts of all nations do not grow GMO corn is old news. European Union imports GMO seed and GMO grain all the time. So please answer the question, you name a country that doesn't import GMO grain. Please stop the 1,000 links that do not even address the question.

Found one article hilarious as they stated AG was selling plants with animal genes implanted in them but yet no examples.... I know of none and it would be huge news in Agriculture. Got a good laugh there.

I am not here for you nor do I do this for you. There are some who only thrive on confrontation. I am here for those who seek only information. It is up to them what they do with it. A mind is like a parachute, it only works when it is open.

What is it that all farmers understand? From their labor and respect for the earth comes their common and only existence. Lose that an all life is lost.

The United States of America is already under siege. Just because it is not on TV does not mean it does not exist.

Those who wish to believe that all is rainbows and butterflies go for it. The rest of us will have the information we need to get on with what needs to be done.

In the Bible it says, The meek shall in inherit the earth. In the Greek translation, the word meek was mistranslated. The word was meant to be read..The patient shall inherit the earth. In other words, it is the persevering, the tenacious, the enduring, the determined, and the tireless. That sounds like the farmer to me.

Hey wait a minute! Who died and left you in command here?

I don't have a dog in this fight but I still think that everyone here deserves respect for their opinions and ideas.

No one died to my knowledge.

She made a statement, I asked what should be a very simple question, and she gave a bunch of links acting like they answered the question. NONE of them had anything to do with the question. She refuses to answer because the answer is that there is not a single country in the world that does not import GMO's. She knows this but refuses to acknowledge it or accept she is wrong even faced with facts. She makes other statements that she knows are not true but preaches them like truth.

I do not care who posts what links about anything. Do all a favor, if you don't want give and take or rational discussion, please put that in your post so people that don't mind open debate, know not to respond. Consider it a kindness to someone who sees life for what is and not someone looking for monsters in the closet.
