Last evening we were out playing with Spartacus, and I saw something hanging from my Strawberry Wheelbarrow, and it was a perfectly ripe Stawberry!! I knew I had flowers and some little green ones, but this was a shocker!!

Oh my, rebbetzin, that is beautiful! Who gets to eat it?
I am planning on splitting it with my husband as a garnish on his breakfast plate,
IF he eer gets out of bed that is!!

Poor guy, he has a 40 hour a week day job, (after 30 years with the company, they are moving to SC and in Dec. this year he will no longer have a day job. Cuz he doesn't want to move.) Then he is taking a Paralegal course, it will take about 2 years to get certified, that takes about 30 hours of reading and doing assignments, and there is the congregation, study for sermons, and classes, etc. And he has a business/hobby restoring 1970's vintage audio gear. He is one of two or three guys in the country that does restoration of high end audio gear.

So, when he is having some time to get sleep, I just let him sleep!!

But I am hoping the strawberry tastes as good as it looks!

Yummmm. We aren't even able to remove the straw covering yet. A bit early in the season here. It sure looks good and mouth watering. I can hardly wait to get out in the garden. We should be able to put the potatoes in on Good Friday. (April 6th) :celebrate

That looks like my breakfast Rebbetzin! Minus the homegrown ripe strawberry and the cheddar cheese in the hash browns! :)
I'm trying that next Sunday ( the cheese in the hash browns ), sounds tasty.

So, was the strawberry sweet and juicy?

Yes it was wonderful!!

To make the cheese filled hash browns, I added a bit of onion to the shredded potatoes, them put them in a thin layer in the bottom of my iron frying pan, let them get nice and brown on one side, then flip them to the other side, they should stay together in a big circle, like a lacy pancake.

Then when the other side is nice and brown, put some shredded cheese on top of the circle, fold the circle of potatoes in half, and heat until the cheese inside is soft. You can then cut it into wedges to serve.
