Ok, one of ya'll have to do this, because if you don't I will talk myself into it. LOL

(I really shouldn't as I've been collecting bricks for that arbor/wall entry to go up by the trail that Hattie talked me into with her awesome link searching.)

My sister has a flower "pot" in her front yard (a nice toilet). her neighbor has tons of these weird old props in his front yard (a giant shark head, and giant tree branch with a giant vulture on it etc) so she is trying to out trash him. She has flowers in the back (where the water fills up) and in the pot (where the fertilizer goes). She also has a pink flamingo with clothes for the seasons and different hollidays.

Oh and my mom had a flower "bed". She had an old metal bedframe that she had out front and planted a lovely garden in between - I thought it was great, but not many people got to see it as their house was far off the road (they just moved last week out of our family home ). It was great though.

Our Neighbor has a flower bed with bed frame and it is always pretty :rainbow-sun
I think that a toilet Flower Pot can be done in a tasteful manor. Do you have pic's of your sister's Flower Pot? Myself I have never been a big fan of a big load of yard ornament plastics scattered through out a lawn. They too can be done in an tasteful direction. :mow
But I suppose since I live in a moble home on our property that a toliet Flower pot would be a Red Neck item

I just like to reclaim and reuse items that can have another use than be put in the land fill

I don't have a picture but it's very nice. She has it squared off with landscaping timers - has nice mulch all around it and then her pot with the flowers - it's not just an old toilet sitting there with dirt and plants. She lives in a mobile home too, which only adds to the "charm".

vfem I may make this one of my weekend projects I know I have 1 old door that DH had taken the glass out of last year. I think it is in the barn, and I am sure I can find another one some where. So this just maybe do able soon. hmmm I will be checking for my supplies and let ya know.

Did any one notice the half door with the planter box on it? I think that is a great idea also.

I saw the upper part of the door with a wreath on it?! Was that what you are taking about!?

Which reminds me... I need a planter box for my kitchen window now. I want to plant some herbs on that east facing window so I can just grab and go from above the sink while I'm cooking dinner.

Need to find plans for that soon........

I think it would look super cute with a little white picket gate on the front too or maybe half a dutch door? since it's a door theme.

I am so excited Dh l loved the door arbor and even asked what I thought about the idea of making it wide enough for a bench too I double checked the barn for the door and it is there, now just to get the second one

A local resident / friend / customer called me at the office and said she was dropping some pots off at our greenhouse. Vic just happened to arrive as she was getting ready to leave. She had mentioned to him she had something for me at her house and wondered if he would come get it with the pickup. I came home and this is what I found.



This is the structure I will build my Herbal tea garden in :watering :tools These old drawers are perfect.

So I believe my weekend plans are full
